medicine and engi have GREAT governor perks, and should be targeted for companions when hiring them in the first place. great perks, and hard to level. 1.7.2 should make engi easier to get.. but, getting your companions to man siege weapons.. uh. not sure on that atm.. got to be a way, don't know what it is yet..
