Product description. As of 2016, the EOS 5D Mark IV is Canon's enthusiast full-frame DSLR. Featuring an all-new 30MP CMOS sensor, DIGIC 6+ processor, Dual Pixel AF system and 4K video capture, the Mark IV is easily the more advanced 5D to-date. The new sensor offers a fully expanded ISO range of 50-102400 and has 'Dual Pixel' AF onboard
Still using my Canon 5D Mark II as well, and still finding it to be plenty of camera for my own needs in 2019. It might not have the latest bells and whistles but my pictures still come out
The big 4k file size is worth it. However, the sharp 1080p is nice as well. Too bad they gave the 6D Mark ii the dull old 1080p or I'd think about having a 6D Mark ii as a second camera if it could shoot sharp 1080p like the 5D IV but there is no way I'm going back to that soft footage.
When I was looking for a camera that could shoot higher resolution than my Canon 5D Mark IV, I had three options: Phase One, Canon 5DD, or mirrorless. I ended up getting the Canon 5Ds, and after
The Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark III is definitely as close as it gets. Canon Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. 7. It doesn’t hurt that it can also shoot 4k video. This is a great DSLR overall, and the
Canon has announced it will be releasing a firmware update for the EOS 5D Mark III that will provide uncompressed HDMI output for videographers. It will also enable autofocus using lens / teleconverter combinations with an effective aperture of f/8, using the camera's central cross-type AF points in a similar fashion to the recently-released EOS-1D X Firmware 1.1.1. However EOS 5D Mark III
Magic Lantern made April fools of us all by going live with an experimental build for the Canon EOS 5D Mark III on April 1st. It's in early stages of development but it's the real deal, and brings experimental Raw 4K video recording to the 5D III, among other things. Verdict. Canon’s EOS 5D Mark IV is the long-awaited fourth model in the enormously popular series of full-frame DSLRs. Coming over four years after the previous EOS 5D Mark III, the Mark IV boosts the resolution to 30.4 Megapixels with a new full-frame sensor that supports Dual Pixel CMOS AF for confident refocusing during Live View and movies.
The Mark IV can shoot 4K video, while the Mark III can't. However, it should be noted that this 4K recording does incur a 1.74x crop factor. For a bit more information about the Canon EOS 5D
The Mark IV offers a slew of upgrades, including a 30.4MP full-frame CMOS sensor and DIGIC 6+ image processor that work in tandem to enable DCI 4K video recording, a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-32000 that can be expanded to ISO 50-102400, and continuous shooting up to 7 fps. Alongside the Mark IV, Canon is introducing two updated L

So here is the 5D Mark II, which punches high in terms of both resolution and features, headlining: 21 megapixels, 1080p video, 3.0" VGA LCD, Live view, higher capacity battery. In other words, a camera that aims to leapfrog both its direct rivals, either in terms of resolution (in the case of the D700) or features (in the case of the DSLR-A900
The things that makes me want to keep going with the Canon 5D Mark IV are: The auto focus for video seems to be flawless. Even in low light it's rare that there is any focus breathing or that it doesn't lock on and stay on. Obviously with photography in the mirror the focus system is superb as well. Another thing is the over all look of the video.
Unfortunately Canon EF-S lens which would be a better match to a 1.7x or 1.8x sensor crop (Canon APS-C is 1.6x crop) won’t fit the 5D Mark IV’s EF mount. The protruding rear glass would bump into the large full frame mirror. So in order to get even moderate wide angle on the 5D Mark IV in 4K we would have to use a 20mm and wider.
